Download Thyme

Install Thyme yourself by following the steps below

(1) Run the compatibility test script

  1. Download the compatibilty test script
  2. Unzip the zip file (this contains test_enc.php)
  3. Upload test_enc.php to your web server
  4. Open test_enc.php in your web browser. E.g. go to http://your.site.com/test_enc.php
  5. This will tell you which encoded version of Thyme to download

(2) Download and Install Thyme

Links to these files are also contained in the compatibility test script.

Zend encoded version
Zip File: thyme-1.3-zend.zip
Windows Installer: thyme-1.3-zend.exe
IonCube encoded version
Zip File: thyme-1.3-ioncube.zip
Windows Installer: thyme-1.3-ioncube.exe



Installation Instructions

You may download and use the zip file or Windows installer

Zip File - A compressed (zipped) file containing Thyme

  1. Download the zip file by clicking on the Zip File link above.
  2. Unzip the downloaded file.
  3. ( Optional ) Rename the resulting folder (thyme-1.3-[zend or ioncube]) to something more applicable to your environment. E.g. calendar, events, agenda , thyme etc.
  4. Upload the folder to the public html folder on your web server. The name of the public html folder can vary from one hosting provider to another. In most cases it is named public_html or www.
  5. Navigate to the folder in a web browser. E.g. go to http://your.site.com/calendar/.
  6. Thyme will guide you through its web-based installation.

Windows Installer - A Windows installer that will install Thyme to your web server from your Windows PC

  1. Download the installer by clicking on the Windows Installer link above.
  2. Locate and run (double click on) the installer.
  3. The installer will guide you through installing Thyme.

What's all this encoding stuff about?

Some of Thyme's PHP source files are encoded. This is to protect intellectual property and not to prohibit you from customizing Thyme. Most of Thyme's files are not encoded and allow for full customization. This is very common for commercial PHP software.

Note that the same files which are encoded in the trial version, are encoded in the full version.
